The Snow-Camp Rally is a unique fundraising event offering teams of skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to complete an epic road trip, to ski or board the 5 indoor snow centres in England in a full-on 12 hours!Kicking off from Hemel Snowcentre, each team of 4 must ride as many runs as possible across the countries 5 indoor snow centres, before making their way to Birmingham’s NEC arena to celebrate with the stellar after-party at the latest and most exciting addition to the UK snowsports calendar – ‘In The Snow Live’!
Supported by In The Snow, and with the in-kind support of the countries 5 snow centres, this event is open to any keen skiers or boarders who want to take on the Challenge! With almost 350 miles of tarmac standing in your way, 5 slopes to ride in total and 30 minutes maximum at each slope to ride as many runs as possible (totaling 2 hrs 30 mins possible of FREE slope time), this is no easy challenge!
The challenge will begin at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead. Teams will gather around 8am to register, receive their passes and get ready to begin their challenge.

Take a look at the 2012 Snow-Camp Rally movie:
Teams complete the simple registration form above to enter and pay a non-refundable deposit of just £40 to Snow-Camp to complete the registration process (i.e £10 per person). This deposit is paid into Snow-Camps Virgin Money Giving account with the reference of your team name. You will automatically be directed to this page on completion of your registration form.
Each team then commits to raise £1,000 between them (£250 per person) in sponsorship to support Snow-Camp’s work. We are expecting the event to sell out and will have a waiting list of teams. As such we kindly request the commitment from all participating teams that you must raise at least 50% (£500) of your team fundraising target by Wednesday the 25th of September 2013 – 1 month prior to the Rally. Failure to do so may result in your team losing your place on the Rally. All teams must then raise the remaining £500 by 5pm on the day of the Rally giving Snow-Camp time to collate details and confirm our top fundraisers.
Snow-Camp staff will support each team by helping set up Virgin Money Giving pages and providing links to send out to friends, family and colleagues
Teams receive their Rally Pack on the morning of the event containing passes which entitle them to enter the indoor slopes for free within the designated times at each venue.
Petrol is expensive and Snow-Camp doesn’t want teams to be out of pocket, so if a team raises over the £1,000 minimum sponsorship target, they can claim back petrol costs from the extra balance. They will simply need to send petrol receipts in to Snow-Camp after the event to claim.
The winners of the Snow-Camp Rally 2013 will be the team who ski / board the most runs collectively across the 5 snow centres. The winning team will win a huge trophy, as well as a collection of top snowsports prizes. A full proof system (we hope) will be in place at each slope to record the exact number of runs each individual – and therefore team – rides at each slope.
We have got a whole heap of prizes to give away on this year’s Rally – all provided by our fantastic sponsors! Not only will we be giving away prizes to the winning teams but also the top fundraisers and those of you who really get in to the spirit of the event! In the mean time however, we’ve teamed up with our friends at Drift Innovation to offer you and your team mates the chance to win a Drift HD Ghost Action Camera to record your action on the day!
Take a look at www.driftinnovation.com/camera/drift-hd-ghost/.
In order to be in with a chance of getting your hands on Drifts most feature-rich and intuitive action camera yet, all you have to do is get your fundraising underway! The team that has raised the most amount of fundraising by midday on Monday the 2nd of September, and likewise by Monday the 1st of October will get their hands on one of the cams! (Teams cannot win more than one camera, that would just be greedy!) Good Luck!
Teams will need to supply their own transport, ski and snowboard equipment, boots and helmets, meals and beverages.
We want teams to all arrive in one piece so no breaking the speed limit! And sharing of driving is recommended. We expect teams to respect the slopes they are visiting as they are voluntarily participating in the event and generously enabling teams to ride for free as part of their ongoing support to Snow-Camp. Just to be clear we have given a set of rules found in the event overview found above.
Snow-Camp would like to extend our gratitude towards each partner in working together to get the Rally off the ground in 2013, and of course to every one of you for the support!
1. Get four friends together to make your team. You can be skiers / snowboarders or a mixture – but you must all ride together throughout the Rally.
2. Register yor team! Just fill in the short and simple registration form at the top of the page. If you want to regsiter your team but are yet to gather 4 team members, no problem. Fill in the registration form with as many details as you can and we’ll send you the individual sign-up link ready to be filled in by your remaining team members when available. We have a limit of 20 team places so it’s first come first served! If you are an individual or a couple – no problem! Get in touch and we can suggest some similar team members if available and put you in touch. If you all agree to go for it – enter your new team!
3. Make your registration payment of £40.00 via Virgin Money Giving to confirm your teams place on the 2013 Rally. Note: You will automatically be directed to this page on completion of your teams registration form.
4. That’s it! We will confirm your teams place on the Snow-Camp Rally, send you a welcome email and all the other information you need. We will also set you and your team members up a Virgin Money Giving page so you can tell everyone what you are doing and start fundraising.
