Patrons & Champions

Our Patrons

Snow-Camp is delighted to have three fantastic snowsport celebrities as our patrons. Their profile and ability to communicate Snow-Camps work has had a hugely positive influence on the growth of the charity.

Ed Leigh, Presenter, BBC Ski Sunday – “The mountains are one of the most impressive landscapes on earth and have an immense power to both humble and inspire people. The idea behind Snow-Camp is very simple: to share the mountains with people who would normally never get to experience them, but who need them most. The project has huge potential to help people.”

Chemmy Alcott, British Olympic Skier and BBC presenter – “For me it’s sad when people have never seen proper snow before in London. It’s so accessable for us and for Snow-Camp to come along and brings this amazing sport to more people, it’s awesome. I just love that Snow-Camp brings winter sports to a whole new audience of kids who never thought that they would have the opportunity! I have always strived to make skiing available to all and Snow-Camp is really achieving that.”

Graham Bell, Presenter, BBC Ski Sunday – “I’m delighted to support the important work that Snow-Camp carries out, and I’m completely behind their goal to bring skiing to more young people and to make the sport more socially inclusive. I think Snow-Camp’s an important charity because we can get accused of being an elitist sports and I don’t think it’s actually the case; and I think going out to the mountains is such a wonderful experience it should be open to all.”

Our Champions

We are also grateful to a number of personalities from across snowsports community who have kindly given their support to Snow-Camp over the years.

Martin Bell, (British Olympic Skier) – “A fantastic and beneficial project that just keeps getting better.”

Warren Smith, Director, Warren Smith Ski Academy and leading freeskier – “Snow-Camp is an amazing concept that is going to open doors to many young people who would otherwise never have the chance to experience snowsports. There is so much talent and energy out there, and my hope would be to see more young people having the opportunity to channel their talents into freeride, skier cross and freestyle skiing.”

Grace Ragosta, Under 14 British Skiing Champion (Snow-Camp Youth Ambassador)  – ‘ Had I not been lucky enough to have been born on the side of a mountain I know I would not have ever had the opportunity to do what I do. Therefore I am passionate to assist  Snow-Camp in any way I can to  help other young people to enjoy the snow and achieve their goals.’
