Hi my name is Kimberley and I’ve been in my new role of Scotland Apprentice for a week now. Time flies when you’re having fun! My first couple of days were spent completing my induction with Laura the Programme Manager – this included going over all aspects of the role as well as checking in with Lara, Operations Director, over Skype!  It was then time to plan for our Graduate Programme which took place at the weekend. Now that I am the Scotland Apprentice it’s part of my job to assist Laura in making sure the day runs smoothly, so we sat down together to discuss and plan the sessions. It’s really interesting to see how much work goes into this!

Sunday was really amazing as we had Anna Vincenti as a special guest (pictured above). Anna is part of the GB Park and Pipe team and gave a really inspiring talk which caught all the young people’s attention. Then it was time to hit the slopes where I helped a couple of the young people improve on their turns. It was amazing that I could help them get better on what they wanted to work on.

Back in the office this week and I’ve been busy helping Laura with some admin and also sorting out our equipment room. I met with Sarah from SD Consultancy yesterday (pictured below) as she is sorting out the SVQ in Sports Coaching that I will be completing. Sarah was really nice and explained what I will be doing over the course of the year. I’ve also have an interview lined up for my first work placement at Snow Rehab, which is really exciting but also nerve wracking! Wish me luck!
