Over 50 guess enjoyed amazing views of Lee Canal on a perfect summers evening, alongside Snow-Camp staff and apprentices.
Guests listened to some incredibly moving stories from our apprentices. They spoke about the daily challenges they face and how Snow-Camp has made a positive impact on their lives.
Snow-Camp apprentice, Shannon said: “I was quite shy and insecure, low self-esteem. If you caught me two years ago, I wouldn’t have been talking to you. Snow-Camp have taught me life-skills I was never taught before. It’s helped me develop my confidence.”
We’re very proud of our apprentices, it’s not easy to speak so openly in front of a crowd but they rose to the challenge, well done everyone!
Snow-Camp’s Founder and Director, Dan Charlish thanked guests for their support saying:
“We continue to strive to build positive partnerships with many fantastic trusts, foundations, corporations and individuals and we wouldn’t be able to support so many young people without the help they provide. There is much still to do, and we know we will need to find new partners and supporters each year as the charity grows – we are always so grateful for all the support we receive.”
It was a fantastic, fun packed evening with drinks and sunshine. What better way to celebrate the end of our 2017/18 programme year. Thank you to all who joined us on the night, and a big thank you again to Delancey and Here East for your support.
