The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Festival brings together thousands of winter sports fans in the heart of London and we’re incredibly pleased to be the charity partner once again.
The Show is also a fantastic opportunity for our young people and this year we’ll be bringing along 10+ Snow-Camp Youth Forum members and our apprentices. The young people will experience a new, positive environment and they will also be provided with work experience opportunities over the 4 days, broadening their horizons and improving their C.V.
We are now looking for exhibitors to offer work experience to a young person on their stand for 1 or more days. The young people can work on any area of your stand, helping you in any way you need. No costs are involved as all expenses are paid by us and there will be a Snow-Camp Manager on site at all times overseeing the young people. The young people are all 16+ and have been with us for at least 1 year, so they are well known to the charity and are committed to making the most of this opportunity.
If you need an extra pair of hands at the Show and would like to offer valuable work experience to a young person, please contact our London Programme Manager, Lucy Chadburn, or Programme Director Gavin Hanmer.
Chris Ashman – Rock Bear
“We will definitely be signing up to give some of the Snow-Camp young people the opportunity to gain valuable work experience at the Show next year and we would also encourage any other brands out there considering this to do it without hesitation. The feedback from the public was very positive and the hard work and enthusiasm of Chloe, on the days we had her at our stand, was awesome.”
Benedicte Lapeyrere – France Montagnes
“It was very helpful to have Alfie on the France Montagnes stand at the Show. He showed a real interest in the various French ski resorts we were promoting and was quick to learn how he could answer visitors’ questions. I think it helped him to realise the importance of the ski industry in Europe and the opportunities it can offer. Alfie was very enthusiastic and always polite. The other professionals of the ski industry working with us on the stand thought he was a very nice person and admired his journey through Snow-Camp.”
Nico Stanford – Telegraph Media
“We had two Snow-Camp young people working on the kids slide who were absolutely brilliant! They were able to keep the slide under control when it was a bit manic and seemed happy to do so.”
We would just like to say a big thank you to The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Festival team for your continued support. In 2017 year they also welcomed our Snow-Camp London apprentice, Will Cunningham, to their team to provide him with a work placement in their busy London office. This was a wonderful opportunity for Will to gain a number of new skills in a dynamic environment and we’re grateful to everyone at The Telegraph for providing him with this opportunity.
We can’t wait for The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Festival at the end of October and there’s still time for you to get your tickets. Hopefully see you there!
