Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the Inter-Livery Ski Championships will bring together members from across the Livery Companies to compete in Morzine, Portes du Soleil from 23-25 Jan 2019.
The Inter-Livery Ski Championships welcomes teams and individuals from all Livery Companies in the City, for three days of friendly ski competition in the Alps. All-in-one lycra racing suits are banned, to emphasise the ‘amateur’ atmosphere of the competition while participants enjoy the glorious atmosphere of one of Europe’s most easily accessible top ski resorts.
The Championships’ new charity partner, Snow-Camp, will host an exciting Team Distance Challenge during the competition. Each team will receive a top of the range GPS tracker and be tasked with covering as many kilometers as possible over a three-hour period. Competitors can take any route they desire, starting from Nyon Restaurant and finishing at the Hotel L’Aubergade, and use any strategy to maximise distance – as long as they’re on foot, skis or lifts. Trophies, medals and glory will await the top 3 winning teams and companies that raise the most sponsorship, all helping to make a difference to inner-city young people.

Founded in 2010 by the Ironmongers’ Company, the Inter-Livery Ski Championships provide the perfect opportunity for liverymen and women, not always able to be involved in their company’s affairs, to represent their own company in a unique event held not only outside the Square Mile but even outside their own country.
Dan Charlish, Snow-Camp’s Founder said: “We’re so delighted to be the 2019 charity partner of the Inter-Livery Ski Championships. The Championships has always placed an emphasis on having fun and our brand-new Team Distance Challenge is all about friendly competition. Hundreds more young people will be able to benefit because of the fundraising efforts of the Livery companies.”
Christopher Hudson, Inter-Livery Ski Championships Organiser said: “We are very excited to introduce the Team Distance Challenge to our competition. Over the last ten years we have raised over £60,000 for various causes supported by the Lord Mayor’s Appeal. We feel it is entirely appropriate to be supporting Snow-Camp with its direct involvement in snowsports about which we are all so passionate.”
