Bush Hill Park Golf Club was established in March 1895 and became Golf Club of the Year in 2019. The course was designed by Harry Vardon and James Braid, two of the greatest players in the history of the game, winning 11 Open Championships between them. As the video below shows, it really is a beautiful course, set on 100 acres of parkland in Winchmore Hill, North London.
If you would like to join us, please register your team of 4 by clicking on the button below.
Our Golf Day has been designed with Covid-19 in mind, and the team at Bush Hill Park have been incredibly supportive to ensure everyone’s safety.
All teams will tee off from the first tee, but 10 minutes apart, with the first team teeing off at 9am. This is to ensure that arrival and finish times are staggered to allow for social distancing. Everyone will receive a goody bag with a bespoke Snow-Camp Golf Day polo shirt, coffee, tea and a bacon or egg buttie on arrival.
We are delighted to say we are going to be joined on the day by our wonderful Patron and Olympic Snowboarding Bronze medal winner Jenny Jones. Jenny will be greeting all teams at the first tee, taking pictures and sending everyone off with a cheer down the first fairway. Formula 1 legend Damon Hill will also be taking part!
There will be a few challenges around the course, including Beat the Pro where Pro Danny Hill will be stationed, and you can win a sleeve of balls if you get closer to the pin than him on your shot. There will be a team putting challenge to win £100 of pro shop vouchers, an ice cream station hosted by Snow-Camp young people at one of the later holes and charity prize draw at another. We have some amazing prizes which have been pulled together by the wonderful Carol Newland, who sits on our Development Board, and who’s mother-in-law, Billie, is Chair at the Club. Huge thanks to them both.
Teams will be playing for the Gregor Michie Memorial Trophy. Gregor was our wonderful Treasurer at Snow-Camp for many years, a keen golfer and friend. Gregor passed away in November 2018 after a long and brave battle with cancer, we miss him and are delighted to name the cup in his honour.
When teams have completed their round, drinks and a delicious two course lunch will be provided in the club house dining room, overlooking the 18th hole. It will be a rolling service, with each team sitting on their own table at a safe distance from other tables.
Snow-Camp’s founder, Dan Charlish said: “I’m not sure we have ever been as excited about running a fundraising event as we are about this, our first ever, Charity Golf Day! But with so many of our events having to be cancelled due to Covid, it feels fantastic to finally be able to bring our supporters safely back together for a real, not virtual, event – and in such a stunning setting. Our Golf Day is likely to be the only charity fundraising event we can run this year, so if you are a golfer, please do think about calling your friends and entering a team. Your support would be hugely appreciated, and in return we can assure you the Snow-Camp team and the staff at the award winning Bush Hill Park will do everything they can to make it a day to remember for everyone. Thank you, I look forward to seeing you there.”
It costs just £500 per a team of 4 to join our Golf Day, which contributes to the cost of running the event. We think it’s a really good deal! Not only will you be playing on one of the top courses in the UK, you’ll get to meet Jenny Jones and our Snow-Camp young people, receive a lovely goody bag and breakfast and a two course lunch with wine is included! Plus you’ll be supporting our vital work by attending.
Thank you so much to everyone who has signed up so far, we look forward to seeing on the day. If you would like to sign up please do click on the button below. If you have any questions please do get in touch. Thank you.
