Snow-Camp win at regional National Apprenticeship Awards

We’re delighted to announce that Snow-Camp has won the SME Employer of the Year at the South East Regional National Apprenticeship Awards 2020

The virtual ceremony to announce the regional winners was held on 6th November. Snow-Camp won the coveted award beating over 1000 entries and will now progress to represent the region at the National Finals on 25th November 2020.

Apprenticeship Awards

As a youth-led charity, our apprentices are key members of our staff team and to have their efforts recognised with this prestigious award is amazing.

Since we first launched our Apprenticeship Programme in 2013, we have increased the number of apprentices we employ each year, enabling us to support more youth in need across the country. Investing in apprenticeships has been hugely successful for Snow-Camp and we are committed to employing as many apprentices as we can indefinitely.

Thank you to our 12 apprentices who worked with us throughout 2019/20, we wouldn’t be the charity we are today without you!

The National Apprenticeship Awards are a fantastic opportunity to highlight business and individual success in apprenticeships. Particularly poignant this year, given the challenges many employers and apprentices have faced during the pandemic. We were pleased to be part of the online ceremony, which recognised all that employers have done to go above and beyond to make a difference during this difficult period.

Gillian Keegan, Apprenticeships and Skills Minister said:

“Huge congratulations to all of the regional winners. The National Apprenticeship Awards are a fantastic opportunity to showcase the range of exciting apprenticeships available across so many industries including digital, health, construction and the public sector.

“Apprenticeships are a great way of attracting new talent, helping to make sure employers of all sizes have access to the skills they need to grow. They will play a vital role rebuilding our economy after the pandemic, transforming businesses and revitalising local communities.

“I wish all the winners the best of luck for the final virtual award ceremony in November.”
