AJ Bell Alpine Challenge

The AJ Bell Alpine Challenge is a unique 2 day charity snowsports endurance event designed to give your team a skiing and snowboarding experience you will never forget!

The AJ Bell Alpine Challenge has grown into a fantastic event in the snowsports calendar, and in its 10th year we are making it even bigger and better!

All about the AJ Bell Alpine Challenge 2019

The Alpine Challenge is a team event, challenging your team of 4 riders to clock up 150KM+ of GPS tracked skiing or boarding over 2 action packed days across the 15 resorts of the massive Portes du Soleil ski area, navigating to as many checkpoints as possible across each of the 15 ski resorts. The team that successfully visits the most checkpoints and clocks up the most KM’s will win the AJ Bell Alpine Challenge 2019!  It’s all about strategy, stamina, teamwork and good fun! Full details can be found in the Event Overview here

 

Registration details

If you have always thought you would like to enter a team in the Challenge – now is the time to get involved! Register your team here

Teams usually take part in teams of 4, but if you would like to have a bigger team please do get in touch and we can arrange this.

The Early Bird registration fee is £100 per person (£400 per team of 4) and is available until the 31st August 2018. After the 31st August the registration fee is £150 per person (£600 per team of 4).

The registration fee covers challenge entry, team bibs, GPS tracking, the event briefing on Thursday, BBQ and mulled wine on Friday evening and the awards ceremony on Saturday evening. It also includes packed lunches and medals for all participants.

We are delighted to have booked a fabulous dinner in the ballroom of the Hotel Le Cret for both Thursday and Saturday night at 7pm. We would like as many of you as possible to join us for a lovely 3-course dinner. The briefing and awards ceremony will follow the dinner in the same room. You can add on the dinner for just £35per person, per dinner when registering your team.

You will also be able to add 2-day Portes du Soleil lift passes for the Friday and Saturday at £75 per person if required.

How does the fundraising work?

By taking part in the AJ Bell Alpine Challenge you will help support youth charity Snow-Camp’s growing work with inner city young people – providing them with opportunities to participate in our snowsports based youth training and vocational programmes and making a massive difference to their lives and future choices. We will set up a Team Fundraising page, which team members can easily send round to friends, family and colleagues letting them know what you are doing and telling them about the charity. All teams will cover the full costs for their participation in the Challenge upfront when they register, which means that all funds raised will go directly to the charity. Each team of 4 has a minimum fundraising target of £2,000 which will be managed through the page. Thank you in advance for your support!
