AJBell Courmayeur Classic 2022

TBC 2022 Courmayeur, Italy

Conquer the mountain for Snow-Camp by entering your team in our unique snowsports fundraising challenge.

The AJBell Courmayeur Classic is a team fundraising event, challenging teams of 4 to complete a series of activities over 2 action packed days.

Run by Snow-Camp Charity and taking place in Courmayeur, activities include ski orienteering, laser biathlon, parallel slalom racing, a team distance challenge and a snow-shoe relay. Teams compete for two awards, Top Fundraisers and Overall Winners, which is awarded to the team that wins the most activities. It’s all about strategy, teamwork, fun and raising money for a good cause!

The AJBell Courmayeur Classic 2022 is run in association with the City Ski Championships and participants from both events will have opportunities to meet, network and compete against each other in the team distance challenge.

Q&As

How much does it cost to join?

We’ll be launching the Early Bird Registration in the next few weeks, which costs just £450 per person, a £200 discount per team! Once the Early Bird offer expires the registration fee is £500 per person. Your registration fee covers the costs of the activities, which means that every penny you raise will go directly towards Snow-Camp’s work with young people.

The fundraising target is £1000 per person (£4000 per team).

Travel and accommodation is not included in your registration fee but our partners Momentum Ski, who are the City Ski Championship organisers, will have some great accommodation, flights and transfers offers available.

How much do I need to fundraise?

With fundraising at the core of the event we ask all participants to aim to reach their fundraising target of £1,000 per person for Snow-Camp. This can of course also be paid upfront if people prefer.

The AJBell Courmayeur Classic 2022 will be the charity’s biggest fundraiser of the year and we rely on the funds raised to run our programmes for inner-city young people. By taking part in the AJBell Courmayeur Classic 2022 you will help to provide more young people with opportunities to participate in our snowsports based youth training and vocational programmes, making a massive difference to their lives and future choices. Thank you for your support!

What level of experience do I need?

The main focus of the Courmayeur Classic is on having a fun weekend in the mountains with lots of new experiences for all participants and raising funds for Snow-Camp! We recommend that you are confident skiing on red pistes or above, but other than this no experience is required!

How do I get involved?

At the moment, you only need to let us know that you’re interested in the event. You can register your interest by contacting Dan Charlish: dan@snow-camp.org.uk. Then when Early Bird Registration opens (date TBC), you will need to register your team of 4 (larger teams may be possible, please contact us to discuss). We will then set up a team fundraising page for you and link you up with our friends at Momentum Ski who can assist you with flights, transfers and accommodation if needed.

Will I need specific insurance?

You will need standard winter sports insurance to take part in the AJ Bell Courmayeur Classic. We can recommend our partners MPI Brokers, to get a quote please visit their website.
