Breaking Down Barriers to Snowsports with Heidi

Snow Camp and Heidi, the game-changing booking platform for flexible ski holidays, are teaming up to break down the barriers to snowsports this winter and beyond.

As an independant UK-based operator with a mission to make it easy for people to discover the power of the mountains, Heidi have selected Snow Camp as their official charity partner; opening up the world of snowsports to many more demographics who wouldn’t have access to skiing, snowboarding or the mountain environment otherwise.

From November 1st 2023 onwards, Heidi are generously committing to a donation of 50p from every passenger to Snow Camp; resulting in thousands of pounds raised over the coming winter season and beyond to directly impact underprivileged inner-city young people across the UK.

Alexander Blunt, Co-Founder of Heidi, said:

“Our mission is to make it easy for more and more people to discover the power of the mountains. So when we were looking for a partner heading into this winter, we knew Snow Camp was perfect. We are really proud of what the partnership will help Snow Camp achieve’.

Heidi’s remarkable story of growth and innovation started with Alexander’s brother Marcus’ frustration while planning a ski weekend with friends. The complexities, expense and time it was taking to book a group of mates was mind-boggling – there had to be an easier way to plan a ski holiday than creating spreadsheets, without losing flexibility. The idea was the genesis of Heidi, a platform designed to simplify ski trip planning for everyone, by making flexible ski holidays easy to book.

Heidi’s offerings now span the globe with over 300 resorts to choose from. These include classics like France and Austria, but now also includes recent launches in North America, Bosnia, and hidden gems across Europe.

Dan Keeley, Community & Partnerships Manager at Snow Camp, said:

“This is what it’s all about; partnering with leading snowsports brands who truly ‘get’ the power of the mountains to change lives for the better, and who know full well that a little hand-holding along the way is so often needed. Simply put, we couldn’t do what we do without the support of the UK snowsports industry and community. ‘Pride for having Heidi with us on the journey’ is the understatement of the season – a huge thank you to everyone involved and bring on all that’s to come together over the coming years.”

Beyond the generous contribution from every passenger, Heidi and Snow Camp look forward to much more to come, from vocational opportunities to insight days and beyond; all helping to break down many more barriers together and opening up the world of snowsports to many more Snow Camp young people over the coming years.
