Perfect Conditions as the AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally Raises Over £100,000 for Snow Camp

Snow Camp’s flagship fundraising event returned to Val Thorens from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th April, and it’s no exaggeration to say that this was one of the most special weekends in Snow Camp’s history.

The 2025 AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally provided an unforgettable 3 days of camaraderie, challenge and life-changing impact; all thanks to the incredible efforts and generosity of our 18 teams who collectively raised a staggering £100,000+ for Snow Camp’s work with young people across the UK.

We are so grateful to every participant, guest, volunteer and supporter who made this year’s event such a resounding success. Of course, we also want to extend a huge thank you to AJ Bell, Beaumier Hotels and our many partners in resort who helped make the magic happen.

An End-of-Season Event Like No Other

The AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally is a unique alpine fundraising challenge hosted in the stunning resort of Val Thorens in Les 3 Vallees, France.

The event brings together 6 action-packed snowsports challenges including ski orienteering, biathlon, a snowshoe hike, a zip wire challenge, a team distance challenge and duel parallel slalom.

From the first chairlift on the Friday morning, to the official after-party to bring the event to a close, the positive energy throughout the weekend was truly infectious.

We were proud to be joined by Snow Camp Patrons and Winter Olympians Chemmy Alcott and Jenny Jones as our official hosts, whose presence brought so much inspiration and passion to the event both on and  off the slopes!

Alongside them, Winter Olympians Graham Bell, Jack Gower, and Sam Temple also competed, while sharing their passion for snowsports and Snow Camp’s impact among their fellow participants.

The spirit of teamwork, resilience, and joy was visible throughout every challenge, as were the consistent remarks about Snow Camp’s life-changing positive impact on young people.

18 Teams. 6 Action-Packed Challenges. 1 Incredible Event!

The 2025 AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally delivered an action-packed weekend from start to finish, full of unforgettable moments in one of the most awe-inspiring ski resorts in the world, Val Thorens.

Day 1 Highlights

  • Snowshoe Race: A true test of grit and determination, our 1km snowshoe hike quickly earned the title of “the hardest 1km of your life!” The incredible Jack Gower, from the Rojari Rockstars clocked the fastest time at 3.31 minutes, outstanding!
  • Biathlon: Always a crowd favourite, this snowy test of endurance and accuracy brought out everyone’s competitive spirit. Well done to all the sharp shooters who scored 10/10!
  • Zipline: In amongst the lung-busting challenges on the slopes, the zipline provided the perfect adrenaline-fueled restbite with ski’s on their back – James Bond style!
  • Orienteering: Teams raced against the clock to find 60 checkpoints across the whole of Val Thorens and Orelle. Huge congratulations to Team Snow Finel who were the only team to collect them all!

Day 2 Highlights

  • Team Distance Challenge: Powered by TracTrac, teams clocked up an impressive amount of kilometres across the Val Thorens valley over a two-hour challenge. Well done to the Avalanche Agents from Knight Frank who racked up an impressive 44.6 km to take the win!
  • Dual Parallel Slalom: Hosted and commentated by the brilliant Chemmy Alcott & Jenny Jones, the slalom brought high-speed excitement and huge cheers from all involved. It was a photo finish between Uniq X and Rojari Rockstars, with Uniq X clinching the coveted slalom win.

Food, Music, and Mountain Magic

  • Our friends at John’s American BBQ kept energy levels high with fantastic food stops and a lively paddock BBQ.
  • Fridays 80’s themed après-ski celebrations were in full swing, with live music from Rio & Rhymes thanks to Après Ski Bands. Think neon, limbo, crowd surfing and jager shots donated by the fabulous Knight Frank.
  • Saturday saw an incredible party at Bar360; with the owners, Steph and Mike, not only hosting a brilliant evening but also generously donating €500 from bar sales, topped-up by another €500 from the two of them personally!

On the opening and closing nights, our teams & guests enjoyed fabulous hospitality at the stunning & award-winning Hotel Le Fitz Roy – part of the Beaumier group – who once again hosted us in true style with impeccable attention to detail. We are so thankful for their continued support and generosity, and for allowing us to have Le Fitz Roy as our home away from home for our flagship event.

Life-Changing Impact Thanks to Our Incredible Teams

We are still completely overwhelmed to have raised an astonishing £100,000+ at this years event, supporting Snow Camp’s work with young people across the UK!

Every donation supports Snow Camp’s award-winning programme journey; providing young people from underserved communities the opportunity to develop invaluable life skills, qualifications and career opportunities in the snowsports industry and beyond, whilst raising aspirations, broadening horizons and carving brighter futures for all.

Speeches From The Heart

At the closing Awards Dinner, guests and teams were moved and inspired by four Snow Camp Apprentices who attended the event and bravely shared their stories to a packed room, before explaining the hugely positive impact Snow Camp has had on their lives.

Congratulations to Amirra, Shiloh, Haider and Rokas for speaking so eloquently and contributing so much to the event.

Speaking on behalf of all four of our Apprentices, Shiloh said:

“This has to be one of the best experiences I have ever been a part of. The weather, the company, the cause, the team, the delivery… I’ve loved being a part of it!”

Laura Marriott-Clarke joined us with her team, Girl Powder, for the first time this winter and shared her experience with us:

“Our all girl team, competing for the first time, didn’t really know what to expect from The AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally.

Whilst we found it tough, it was such a supportive atmosphere of fun. But what really stays with us is the warmth of everyone involved – from fellow racers to the incredible Snow Camp team. Meeting the apprentices, hearing their stories, and seeing their determination was deeply inspiring.

We came for the challenge, but we left with full hearts and a real sense of purpose, trying to work out if we can do it all again next year!”

We were also thrilled to have two teams from Knight Frank with us this year. Vicki Reeves said the following:

‘Knight Frank were thrilled to take part in the AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally for the first time – an unforgettable mix of challenge, fun, and camaraderie, all in support of the amazing work Snow Camp does.

We’ve already signed up for 2026, aiming higher and fundraising harder next year!’

Dan Charlish, Founder of Snow Camp, shared his reflections:

‘This year’s AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally was a truly amazing few days, spent with many wonderful Snow Camp supporters and friends. Huge thanks to all our teams, guests, patrons, and partners – whose generosity and positive energy throughout helped make this year’s event so special.

Thank you all, and thank you Andy & Tracey and the family for their continued support & belief in Snow Camp’s work and mission.’

Tracey Bell highlighted the long-standing partnership between Snow Camp and AJ Bell:

‘This year’s challenge in Val Thorens was an unforgettable experience – full of fun, laughter, and a great sense of camaraderie.

Competing as a team in the snow brought out our best, but what truly stood out were the incredible young apprentices who guided us through the challenges.

Their stories and final-night speeches gave us all a powerful insight into the life-changing work this charity does. We’re proud to support such an inspiring cause.’
