Heidi Raise Over £14,000 for Snow Camp in 23/24

Heidi step up to break down barriers to snowsports with £14,000 raised for Snow Camp this winter!

As an independent UK-based operator with a mission to make it easy for people to discover the power of the mountains, Heidi selected Snow Camp as their official charity partner heading into winter 23/24; opening up the world of snowsports to many more demographics who wouldn’t have access to skiing, snowboarding or the mountain environment otherwise.

From November 1st 2023 onwards, Heidi generously committed to a donation of 50p to Snow Camp for every passenger travelled; resulting in thousands of pounds raised over the coming winter season and beyond to directly impact underprivileged inner-city young people across the UK.

Now, with the number now in from this winter season, Heidi and Snow Camp are celebrating over £14,000 worth of impact together!

Alexander Blunt, Co-Founder of Heidi, said:

“Our mission is to make it easy for more and more people to discover the power of the mountains. So when we were looking for a partner heading into this winter, we knew Snow Camp was perfect. We are really proud of what the partnership has achieved for Snow Camp, and what it will go on to achieve over the coming years’.

Thanks to Heidi’s funding, 5 young people nationally will now be supported through the full 24/25 Snow Camp programme journey running from July 2024 to June 2025, including their first ever experience in the mountains.

On top of this, 14 young people will gain access to snowsports for the very first time on Snow Camp’s two-day beginner programme this summer – only made possible thanks to this support. Both organisations look forward to sharing updates throughout the year.

Dan Keeley, Community & Partnerships Manager at Snow Camp, said:

“For Heidi to have raised what they have in Year 1 of our new partnership is remarkable. The pleasure is all ours to work with such a forward-thinking & passionate organisation who truly ‘get’ our cause and the power of the mountains to change lives for the better. To everyone involved, thank you, and bring on all that’s to come together over the coming years.”

Heidi’s remarkable story of growth and innovation started with Alexander’s brother Marcus’ frustration while planning a ski weekend with friends. The complexities, expense and time it was taking to book a group of mates was mind-boggling – there had to be an easier way to plan a ski holiday than creating spreadsheets, without losing flexibility. The idea was the genesis of Heidi, a platform designed to simplify ski trip planning for everyone, by making flexible ski holidays easy to book.

Heidi’s offerings now span the globe with over 300 resorts to choose from. These include classics like France and Austria, but now also includes recent launches in North America, Bosnia, and hidden gems across Europe.

Beyond the generous contribution from Heidi directly, we look forward to much more to come, from vocational opportunities to insight days and beyond; all helping to break down many more barriers together and opening up the world of snowsports to many more Snow Camp young people over the coming years.
