Building Futures: Snow Camp Teams Up with SZN

From First Turns to First Jobs with SZN

At Snow Camp, we believe that the mountains should be just the beginning. That’s why we’re so excited to share how our brand new Futures Programme is already helping young people move from their first turns on snow to their first steps into the world of work, with incredible support from Tyler Cant and SZN.

Over the last month, Tyler has travelled to each Snow Camp regional hub to deliver inspiring talks and practical employability workshops. SZN has become the first official partner of our Futures Programme, opening up real industry pathways for our young people. Together, we’re showing what’s possible when you combine snowsports passion with long-term support.

Why Snow Camp Futures?

For more than 20 years, Snow Camp has been transforming lives through snowsports. With our programmes: First Tracks to Graduate to Excel, young people develop confidence, qualifications, and leadership skills they can take into every aspect of life.

But what happens when the snow melts? For too many, the next step can feel out of reach. The Futures Programme was created to change that, offering structured, ongoing support that bridges the gap between the slopes and the wider world of work.

Whether it’s building a CV, practicing interviews, or connecting directly to seasonal and general job placements, Futures is about ensuring young people have clear pathways forward. And thanks to the incredible help of partners like Tyler and SZN, that vision is already coming to life.

“I think me personally, having an insight of what jobs you can partake in within seasonal work was intriguing and then hearing where the best places to do seasonal work and how there’s different types like racing etc. was good. Tyler was really nice and very informative I loved how engaging he was! But overall I think the session was honestly great and so incredibly useful!” – Snow Camp young person

Meet Tyler – Inspiring from Experience

If you’ve been anywhere near a Snow Camp hub lately, you’ve probably heard the buzz about Tyler Cant. As a presenter, DJ and youth advocate, Tyler knows what it’s like to carve out your own path and step into spaces you might never have imagined for yourself.

This spring, Tyler travelled to every Snow Camp location: London, the Midlands, Scotland, and the North West, to share his story and lead a series of powerful employability workshops. Young people learned how to write standout CVs, prepare for interviews, network with confidence, and understand what employers look for in the snowsports industry.

For many, it was the first time they’d ever spoken openly about their goals beyond Snow Camp. Having someone like Tyler break it down honestly, openly, and with so much energy made all the difference. As one young person said:

“It definitely was food for thought. I now have some more information that I can take forward with me into what I may want to do workwise in the Snowsports industry. Thank you for the opportunity.”

SZN – Opening Doors in the Industry

When we dreamed up the Futures Programme, we knew we couldn’t do it alone. It takes committed industry partners to make real pathways happen. That’s why we’re so proud that SZN, the job site dedicated to seasonal and snowsports opportunities, stepped up as our very first Futures partner.

Through this partnership, our young people will get real visibility on seasonal and general job placements, connections to employers who believe in inclusivity, and the chance to build their networks in the snowsports community and beyond.

As our first partner, SZN is helping us show what this programme can become, an industry-wide movement that proves the mountains really can be a launchpad for life.

If you’re an employer or brand interested in opening up opportunities, find out how you can become a Snow Camp corporate partner or participate in our new Futures Programme.

Futures in action – young people ready to thrive

The best part? It’s already making a difference.

Young people have left Tyler’s workshops with new CVs, practical tips and – most importantly – belief that they have something unique to offer. From working as instructors with BASI qualifications to stepping into customer service, retail, logistics or marketing roles, they’re discovering pathways they might never have known existed.

Throughout this, our dedicated Wellbeing Managers work hand in hand with our Programme Managers to ensure that every young person feels supported emotionally, practically and professionally. It’s all part of our commitment to seeing them thrive long after they’ve finished their last run with us.

“It was a very informative workshop as we were able to learn about the different jobs that are on offer for seasonal work, the expectations, and the help with CV’s was very useful as CV’s change all the time so different companies look for different things so the advice was much needed.” Snow Camp young person.

How you can get involved

Our vision is clear: we want every Snow Camp young person to see that the mountain is just the start.

But we can’t do it alone. The Futures Programme needs more partners, employers and advocates who believe in creating real, inclusive pathways for young people in snowsports and beyond.

If you run a ski school, resort, outdoor centre, travel business or any company with jobs to offer, we’d love to talk. From seasonal placements to general job roles through our wider Corporate Partnerships network, you can help turn first turns into first jobs and futures full of possibility.
