New horizons with NUCO

For almost a decade, WeAreNUCO and NUCO Travel have partnered with Snow Camp to support our work changing the lives of young people across the country. This year, WeAreNUCO has taken the partnership into the next chapter.

WeAreNUCO are supporting Snow Camp Futures by generously funding two Snow Camp graduates to complete their Rep Training weekend, with their full instruction, accommodation and events costs completely covered. This will be a life-changing opportunity for these young people; with this support, they will be able to overcome the financial barriers that prevent young people from underserved communities from accessing the industry.  

An Enduring Partnership

Since 2017, WeAreNUCO have raised over £8,000 for Snow Camp’s work through sponsored challenges and trip donations from the NUCO community, all in support of Snow Camp’s mission to help young people carve brighter futures for themselves in the snowsports industry and beyond.

These donations ensure that more young people across the UK have access to Snow Camp’s life-changing work. By supporting Snow Camp, WeAreNUCO continue to take down barriers and open the slopes up to everyone.

Reaching new heights for Snow Camp

In March this year, the team from WeAreNUCO embarked on a challenge to raise money for Snow Camp. Their goal? To collectively climb Mount Blanc, the highest peak in the French Alps. That’s a staggering 4,805m of elevation, completed on stepmills at the gym, incline treadmill, hikes, indoor climbing centres and the stairs of their building!

Thanks to the dedication of the team and their supporters, the challenge raised over £2,000 for Snow Camp. This directly funds the programmes we deliver to young people from underserved communicates across the country, giving them the opportunity to experience snowsports for the first time. 

Looking to Snow Camp Futures 

Experiencing the power of snowsports is just the start of a life-changing journey for young people at Snow Camp. We work with our partners and supporters in the snowsport industry and beyond to ensure our young people get the opportunities they need to succeed in the future. 

Through our Futures Programme, young people are connected with training, companies and resources that support their transition into the next stage of their journey. This progression stage helps young people prepare for employability, education or training beyond Snow Camp; using the confidence and resilience they’ve built with us, our series of ready-to-work opportunities sets them up for a future of success.

WeAreNUCO are proud to be offering two Snow Camp young people fully funded spaces on their Rep Training weekend this year. This is an amazing opportunity for all of Snow Camp’s graduates to experience the recruitment process behind rep training, whilst guaranteeing two of our young people will achieve a spot.  

For Snow Camp alumni, succeeding in a recruitment process is one challenge; being able to fund the training that follows is another. WeAreNUCO’s generosity has removed this barrier and opened up an exciting opportunity for two of our young people. We can’t wait to see what they achieve with WeAreNUCO!
