Over £35,000 raised at the 2023 Inter-Livery Ski Championships in Morzine

On the 25th-27th January 2023, we were in Morzine for the annual Inter-Livery Ski Championships (ILSC), where we were delighted to once again be the charity partners for the event. The ILSC 2023, which took place over 3 days, raised an incredible amount of money for Snow Camp – over £35,000 in total that will go towards supporting young people on our Snow Camp programmes.

On the opening day, we were treated to fantastic weather conditions for our Team Triathlon event, which we ran for 30 enthusiastic Livery Company ski teams. Teams of 4 enjoyed taking on a Giant Slalom, followed by a Biathlon and then a Snow Shoe Hike, scoring points for their times in each element. Many congratulations to the Mercers for their overall victory and the Barbers for coming top in the fundraising challenge.

Joel and Leo from our Snow Camp North West programme also attended the event and worked hard as part of Team Snow Camp delivering the Snow Shoe element of the Triathlon. They also spoke movingly on stage to hundreds of people during the evening functions – sharing the impact of Snow Camp on their lives and bringing the charity to life for everyone there.

Founder of Snow Camp Dan Charlish said:

“We always have such a wonderful experience being part of this fantastic event. Livery companies are so supportive of our work and are equally competitive about fundraising – a perfect combination! We enjoy contributing positively to the event and we also get to meet new supporters every year, which is hugely valuable. Huge thanks to Christopher and Suki for all the organising and support.”

Organiser of ILSC 2023 Christopher Hudson said:

“We have supported Snow Camp at this event for a number of years now, and our relationship just gets stronger each year. The new event launched this year, the Team Triathlon, was so well received, and having the boys talk on stage inspired everyone and helped people understand the important work they are all supporting with their fundraising.”
