Snow Camp Host Corporate Charity Day for Knight Frank

On Friday 6th October, Snow Camp were delighted to host a corporate Charity Day for 50 colleagues from Knight Frank, with special appearances from British ski cross athlete Ollie Davis, British alpine ski racer Charlie Raposo, and Snow Camp Patron and international freeskier Warren Smith.

Hosted at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead, representatives from across Knight Frank’s business came together to support Snow Camp and enjoy a full day of snowsports action, with lessons and tips from Ollie, Charlie and Warren thrown in, supported by Snow Camp young people Darnel, Sophia, Jay Jay, Alice and Milky.

The day kicked off after coffee, breakfast and a warm welcome from Knight Frank’s Alex Koch de Gooreynd, a long term supporter of Snow Camp. Everyone kitted up straight afterwards and headed out to Hemel’s fantastic slope.

Snow Camp Apprentices got involved supporting the 15 beginners in the group, who enjoyed their first ever lessons on the learner slope – whilst more experienced skiers and snowboarders from across Knight Frank took to the main slope and enjoyed some freeskiing, some coaching from the pro’s and a dual parallel slalom race to finish!

As well as a great day out of the office, the main goals of the event were to broaden the awareness of the Knight Frank / Snow Camp partnership across the company, provide an opportunity for the Snow Camp team and young people to talk to Knight Frank staff about how the charity changes lives and it’s impact over the past 20 years and, of course, to raise further valuable funds to support Snow Camp’s work.

All attendees also enjoyed the full hospitality of The Lodge Bar & Kitchen overlooking the slopes at Hemel Snow Centre; and since Snow Camp first met Knight

Frank on the slopes at the City Ski Championships, it was the perfect alpine-themed environment for the event, and to learn more about Snow Camp and our vision for the coming years.

Mark Harvey, Head of International Department from Knight Frank said:

“This wonderful event confirmed the very special place Snow Camp holds in our hearts and the impact that we can all make on the lives of potentially vulnerable young people. We remain very committed to making a difference and look forward to similar events in the future.”

Dan Charlish, Founder & Director of Snow Camp said:

“Corporate partnerships like the one we have with Knight Frank are so important for Snow Camp’s work. The Charity Day worked so well in terms of enabling many more Knight Frank staff to hear about the charity and meet our young people, whilst we were also able to learn more about Knight Frank’s CSR goals going forward. We are hugely thankful for the support and we look forward to growing the partnership in the coming years.”

Over £8,500.00 has been raised so far through the Charity Day, thanks to the generosity of the attendees, Knight Frank themselves and The Snow Centre who also kindly donated to support the event. Our sincere thanks to everyone who helped bring the day together. Going into the 23/24 winter season, we look forward to working closely with all the Knight Frank team and developing our fantastic relationship further.
