Could you be our next Snow Camp North West Programme Manager

Help Snow Camp turn young lives around in the North West

Are you passionate about changing young people’s lives and love the power of snowsports? Snow Camp, the UK’s only national youth snowsports charity, is on the lookout for a driven, empathetic, and inspiring North West Programme Manager to join our team.

This exciting Snow Camp job opportunity isn’t just a career move. It’s your chance to play a pivotal role in supporting underserved young people, using skiing and snowboarding to build confidence, skills, and brighter futures.

Why work with Snow Camp?

At Snow Camp, we believe every young person deserves the chance to carve out their own future. Through our unique blend of life-skills training and snowsports progression, we help young people take their first steps on the slopes and towards long-term positive change. From First Tracks through to becoming qualified instructors, we’ve helped thousands of young people over the years realise their potential.

We work with over 50 youth projects, schools and community partners across the UK, and now we’re investing even more in the North West region. With your help, we’ll reach more young people than ever in Manchester, Crewe and beyond.

About the role: Snow Camp North West Programme Manager

This is a unique, hands-on role where no two days are the same. As our North West Programme Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering and managing all of Snow Camp’s youth programmes in the region, from First Tracks and Graduate through to Excel, Youth Forum and Apprenticeship progression.

You’ll lead a small but mighty team, working flexibly across our partner venues like Chill Factore Manchester and our Crewe office. You’ll also oversee overseas residential trips – so a valid passport is a must!

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading programme delivery and managing logistics
  • Coordinating venues, instructors and travel
  • Supporting and mentoring apprentices
  • Building partnerships with local youth organisations
  • Managing budgets, evaluation and safeguarding processes

Who we’re looking for

This role calls for someone with at least 2 years’ youth work experience, ideally with a background or passion for snowsports. If you’ve got a heart for mentoring and a mind for planning, you might just be the person we’re looking for.

Essential criteria:

  • Experience working with young people (including at-risk and underrepresented communities)
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Ability to ski or snowboard at a good level
  • Valid driving licence and UK work eligibility
  • Flexible with evening, weekend and residential work

Desirable:

  • Youth work, sports or teaching qualifications
  • Experience managing grants, budgets or apprentices
  • Snowsports instructor training
  • Local fundraising experience

What you’ll get in return

You’ll be joining a national charity that truly values its team. We offer:

  • Salary of £30,250 per annum
  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Vitality Health cover (after 6-month probation)
  • Pension scheme
  • Regular opportunities for CPD and training, including First Aid and safeguarding
  • A supportive, friendly working environment where your voice is heard
