Snow Camp Celebrates £70,000 Raised at the 2026 Inter-Livery Ski Championships

Connection and Camaraderie in Marvellous Mayrhofen

Snow Camp is thrilled to celebrate the incredible success of the 2026 Inter-Livery Ski Championships, which took place in Mayrhofen, Austria, from 14th–17th January 2026.

The annual event, which brings together over 30 Livery Companies to compete and connect on and off the slopes, has raised a staggering £70,000 to support Snow Camp’s work with young people across the UK.

Funds were raised through a combination of online fundraising and generous additional pledges from Livery Companies attending the event. This remarkable total will help Snow Camp continue to provide life-changing opportunities for young people through snowsports, life skills, qualifications and career pathways.

Delivering the inaugural Mayrhofen Mountain Challenge

On day 1 of the 3-day schedule of events, the Snow Camp team were delighted to deliver the inaugural Mayrhofen Mountain Challenge for Snow Camp which saw an impressive 37 teams of four (148 participants from multiple Livery Companies) take on a unique multi-discipline challenge on Wednesday 14th January. Teams competed across a giant slalom, biathlon challenge and a pistenbock toboggan run before setting their final scores that evening with a crowd-pleasing eisstockschießen challenge (Austrian curling) on the ice rink in the centre of Mayrhofen.

Snow Camp Apprentices take to the stage

The Championships also provided a powerful reminder of the impact of Snow Camp’s work. On Thursday evening, four Snow Camp Apprentices from our North West programme – Tamia, Sara, Connor and Dylan – bravely took to the stage to share their personal journeys and highlighting the real difference that supporters’ fundraising makes.

A partnership that changes lives

With glorious ski conditions, blue skies and an atmosphere filled with camaraderie and purpose, the 2026 Inter-Livery Ski Championships were an outstanding success. Snow Camp would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who took part, fundraised, pledged their support and helped make this event so memorable.

Marc Begg – Co-Director of the Inter-Livery Ski Championships, said:

“We are extremely grateful for the passion, professionalism and heart Snow Camp brought to the 2026 Inter Livery Ski Competition. The multi discipline Mountain Challenge was delivered with a wonderful mix of professionalism, challenge and fun. The young people were a true credit to your programme, welcoming, engaging, and genuinely inspiring. Unquestionably the best one to-date and a highlight that our competitors will remember for years.

The ILSC is proud to partner with Snow Camp, whose mission embodies the principles, fellowship, and philanthropic spirit that bring all Livery Companies together.”

Dan Keeley – Events Director for Snow Camp, said:

“We couldn’t have been more delighted with our first year in Mayrhofen; building on the success of the past 7 years together and entering this brand-new chapter for the event.

For all the Snow Camp team on the ground in Austria, delivering the inaugural Mayrhofen Mountain Challenge was a privilege, and our young Apprentices from the North-West certainly made us proud on stage.

We also want to thank Emma Halford-MacLeod for her exceptional support as the Co-Director of the 2025 and 2026 events, and wish her all the very best for the future whilst also welcoming Katy to the delivery team for 2027 and beyond. Roll on Mayrhofen next year!”
