Supported by Winter Olympians and Snow Camp Patrons Chemmy Alcott, Jenny Jones and Tim Warwood, our celebrity hosts got our 80 participants off to the best possible start on the Monday morning as they set out to reach as many orienteering checkpoints as possible across the whole of Val Thorens and Orelle.

With a testing first few hours as everyone found their rhythm, it wasn’t long before the cheers and woops were echoing all around the valley as teams not only hit their checkpoints, but also took on the biathlon, snowshoe hike and the longest zip wire in the Alps throughout the day.

Hot food was served slopeside by the John’s American Restaurant team, which added to the overall experience before teams made their way back to our home of the event – the stunning 5* Hotel Le Fitz Roy – ready for the infamous 80’s Après Party in partnership with Après Ski Bands and Rio & Rhymes.
As the snow fell, the champagne flowed; so did the shapes, the neon, the glitter, the outfits and the crowd-surfing, all making for an epic celebration to round off Day 1.

After a good night’s sleep, teams made their way onto Le Fitz Roy’s terrace once again ready to start Day 2 with another Le Mans start, this time with their team’s GPS trackers live and ready to go for the Team Distance Challenge.
For two hours, all 20 teams blasted the mountains to rack up as much mileage as they possibly could before descending on the Snow Camp Paddock at Stade Chloe Trespeuch for a fantastic on-piste BBQ alongside physio sessions courtesy of Physio Remedies, all before the team briefing for the big finale, the team dual parallel slalom.

With our mere mortals going up against Winter Olympians Graham Bell, Ed Drake and Jamie Nicholls, plus the World’s Fastest Snowboarder Jamie Barrow, the competition was fun and fierce, the laughs were loud, the wipe-outs dramatic and the sun shone down on Val Thorens in idyllic spring conditions.
After the excitement of the slalom, it was then over to (the best après venue in Val Thorens) Bar360 where teams let their hair down on and stayed hydrated both in the VIP area and on the tables with Snow Camp flags waving overhead.

Teams then headed back to the Hotel Le Fitz Roy, and it was time for a stunning 3-course meal (with bespoke Snow Camp logo Tiramisus going down well) all in the build-up to the most special moment of the whole weekend.
Snow Camp Apprentices Louis, Tafari and Arzu – supported by Snow Camp Programme Managers Angus & Amiee – bravely took the stage and shared their personal stories with courage and heart, demonstrating why Snow Camp exists and how everyone’s support in the room and back home truly does help the charity turn young lives around with the power of snowsports.
It was a poignant reminder of why we were all together in Val Thorens. Once the standing ovation was complete, it was time for Tim and Chemmy to take the stage as they announced our winners, starting with some special acknowledgements including:
Silent Hero Award: Ian Brown, The Snow Centre
Long Service Award: Team Snow Brainers
Event Megastar Award: Vicki Reeves, Knight Frank
Morale Superstar Award: Laura Marriott-Clark

And then on to the big awards, starting with our top fundraisers. The Snow Camp team are so grateful for every team that fundraised at the event. Support comes in lots of different shapes and sizes, and we know that it is tough at the moment to raise funds for charity. Huge thanks to everybody all of our wonderful teams out in Val Thorens, who each played such an important part in the final fundraising total.
Congratulations to:
1st: Delanski
2nd: Snow Finel
3rd: Snow Brainers
Next up, it was time to crown to winners of this year’s AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally for Snow Camp. Every challenge saw these teams racking up the points, from smashing the snowshoe race to pinpoint accuracy in the biathlon. Congratulations to Team Knight Riders from Knight Frank who topped the leader board after two days and, for the first time in the history of the 3 Valley Rally, we have ties at both second and third place! Congratulations to:
1st: Knight Riders
Joint 2nd: Stanton Re-United & Carve Diem
Joint 3rd: Team Kingsley and Snow Finel
What a podium!

Snow Camp Event Director Dan Keeley reflected on this year’s event: “Wow, that was something special. From the friendly spirit of competition around the mountain to the camaraderie off the slopes, every one of our teams and guests played their part to make this years event truly memorable. To every donor, partner and participant, thank you all for going above & beyond in support of Snow Camp’s work with young people across the UK.”
Dan Charlish, Snow Camp Founder, added: “Another stunning year in Val Thorens, with all of our wonderful teams, patrons, young people and Snow Camp staff working together to create some magic alpine memories, raise funds that will change lives and ensure this important event goes from strength to strength. We are so grateful for the support and look forward to seeing you all in 2027!”
On the night, no less than 8 teams immediately signed up for the 5th anniversary of the AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally running from Thurday 15th to Sunday 18th April 2027!
Our home for the event is changing to the stunning 4* Hotel Le Val Thorens in the centre of the resort – according to our partners Beaumier, the birthplace of the ‘ski-in, ski-out’ lifestyle. With the prospect of taking over the terrace with the glorious panorama of Val Thorens as our backdrop for the Après sessions once again, we can’t wait to get back out there!
