Calling all ILSC skiers! Join us for the Mayrhofen Mountain Challenge for Snow Camp on Wednesday 13th January 2027 for a lot of fun whilst supporting Snow Camp's work with young people across the UK.

Snow Camp have been delighted to be the charity partner at the ILSC for the last 8 years; successfully delivering a range of fun challenges and making many wonderful friends within the Livery world in the process, not to mention generating a wonderful amount of fundraising to support more young people across the UK. We are truly grateful for the support.
This year, building on the fantastic 2026 event where we raised over £70,000 for Snow Camp’s work, we are excited to once again deliver a fun but challenging day of activities at the 2027 Inter-Livery Ski Championships; bringing many Livery teams together in a spirit of friendly competition whilst adding something fun and different to the ILSC schedule.
In true Livery style, we know teams will be equally competitive about the fundraising side of this Challenge – enabling further life changing funds to be raised to support Snow Camp’s work with young people.
The Mountain Challenge itself is sequential. Firstly, each of your team members will complete a timed giant slalom run, followed by a biathlon shooting challenge (with real pellets!), before finishing with a timed PistenBock toboggan run. All activities are delivered in partnership with our friends at Mayrhofner-Bergbahnen to ensure safety at all times.

Team scores will be worked out from a combination of your collective team times from slalom, your points from the biathlon (lap times plus penalties for shots missed) plus your team time from the PistenBock Toboggan run. More detail will follow once you have signed up, but suffice to say it’s going to be a lot of fun once again, and we are looking forward to seeing teams take on the challenge!
Following the success of the inagural Eisstock Challenge last year, we look forward to making it even better this coming January – offering your team another challenge to enjoy as a final chance to top up your scores on the day. This traditional game, somewhat similar to curling, will be enjoyed alongside après drinks in the centre of Mayrhofen in the evening. So bring your dirndl’s as you wish and we’ll look forward to seeing you on the ice!

If you would like to take part but don’t have a full team, don’t worry – just register anyway and we can combine people to make teams for the event.
Entry to the 2027 Mayrhofen Mountain Challenge for Snow Camp is £100 per person covering all the costs for each individual for all the activities that make up the mountain challenge, meaning every pound raised in fundraising goes directly towards supporting Snow Camp’s work with inner-city young people across the UK.
No payment is taken at the point of registration. Each £100pp will be invoiced to Team Captains closer to the event itself and managed with particiants accordingly.
One fundraising page will be set up for each Livery Company entering, regardless of the number of teams entering from that company, and the total funds raised on each page will be divided by the total number of participants from that company, to give us a fundraising champion!
Trophies, medals and glory will await both the winning teams and our top fundraisers, presented by Snow Camp at the ILSC Awards Evening on Friday 15th January.
To join the Mayrhofen Mountain Challenge for Snow Camp, just tick the box saying ‘I’d like to participate in the Mountain Challenge for Snow Camp’ when you register for the ILSC. The Snow Camp team will then be in touch with a welcome email and more details, including a link to your livery companies dedicated fundraising page.
Thank you so much for your support. We look forward to delivering a fantastic event for you all and catching up with everyone at the Inter-Livery Ski Championships 2027!
How long are the courses?
The team slalom ski race element of the Mountain Challenge is set on a very accessible piste, and will be a standard length slalom course. The biathlon course will also be very suitable for the vast majority of all participants taking part, taking approximately 10 minutes to complete with your shooting included. The PistenBock toboggan course is also a very safe and banked course, and you can take all the activities at your own pace with no pressure whatsoever.
Yes there will be a winner and a league table – it is a competition after all – but this is about having fun and supporting Snow Camp’s work, so you can push yourselves as hard (or as easy) as you like. And don’t worry, the Eisstock bonus round activity will also be very fun and accessible for all to enjoy in the evening!
How much time would someone be competing for?
All teams can expect to complete the 3 challenges in a total time of 45-minutes maximum, with gaps in between each activity. Before you arrive in Mayrhofen, the Snow Camp team will issue you a team slot allocated at random, with 10-minute intervals in-between each teams start time. The day will run from 09:30 onwards, and your allocated slot will mean you won’t be hanging around at the start as we know you’ll be wanting to enjoy the days skiing in Mayrhofen too.
Does everyone have to do every event?
Ideally all 4 team members will complete all 3 challenges, plus the Eisstock bonus activity in the evening. If this isn’t feasible for health or other reasons, then we’ll try to tailor the challenge where necessary to make sure points are fair and everyone in the team can take part where they can, and has an enjoyable experience.
Can I speak to one of the Snow Camp team about the event?
Absolutely. Please call or email Snow Camp’s Community & Events Director Dan Keeley on +44(0)7803 876455 or dan.k@snow-camp.org.uk and he’ll be happy to assist and answer any of your questions.
See you in Mayrhofen!
