At Snow Camp, we know that true support goes far beyond financial donations alone. Real impact happens when people invest their time, skills, resources, and – most importantly – their belief in the young people we support, and join us in turning many more young lives around.
That’s exactly what UNIQ Snowsports has done as one of our most active partners from the past few years.
From their team (Uniq X) raising the bar at our flagship fundraising event, the AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally in Val Thorens, to offering a life-changing placement for one of our incredible apprentices from our North-West programme, Uniq’s commitment shows what’s possible when companies move beyond fundraising alone into a more invested partnership.
At the heart of this partnership is an inspiring young man named Shiloh, whose Snow Camp journey with Uniq’s support is now taking him to Norway this winter!
UNIQ Snowsports have been a leader in alpine coaching and performance training for over a decade, offering high-level ski tuition, instructor development and training camps for aspiring ski professionals. Their expertise, precision and love for the mountains have made them a trusted name in the industry.
In 2024, UNIQ X was born; a fresh chapter for the brand and a new offering focused on high-end snowsport experiences. From corporate group trips to bespoke winter adventures, UNIQ X delivers carefully crafted ski experiences that combine premium travel with purpose-led partnerships.
And that purpose is clear. UNIQ X was created not just to bring people to the mountains but to share the life-changing impact of snowsports with those who might never otherwise have the chance, hence their first-class support for Snow Camp!
As Ash Breese, the UNIQ Snowsports Managing Director put it:
“Partnering with Snow Camp has been one of the most rewarding parts of our journey at UNIQ Snowsports. Growing up in the snowsports world gave me experiences and opportunities that shaped who I am today, and at UNIQ we want young people to have those same chances – to travel, to be part of a team, and to grow through the sport just like we did. That’s why supporting Snow Camp feels so natural for us. The work they’re doing is opening doors for the next generation, and we’re fully behind that.”
In the last 2 years, the UNIQ X team has lit up the AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally in Val Thorens with their blistering performance on the slopes, truly setting the benchmark for performance and teamwork across all 6 challenges of the event.
Off the slopes, their heart, humour and belief in the potential of our young people is always felt and deeply appreciated.
And now, for winter 2025, UNIQ have taken their support of Snow Camp to new heights with an unbelievable opportunity for Shiloh, one of our stand out Apprentices from the past year.
Shiloh joined Snow Camp with no prior ski experience and a determination to try something new. What followed was a transformational journey through our beginner First Tracks programme, into our intermediate and advanced programme and eventually into our award-winning Apprenticeship Programme.
At the 2025 AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally, Shiloh was on site and gaining live events experience with the running of the Rally. But when one of the teams faced a sudden injury in the dual giant slalom, Shiloh stepped up without hesitation.
His skiing was electric! Quick, confident and courageous. He didn’t just fill a gap; he stole the show, leaving Olympians like Chemmy Alcott, Graham Bell, Jack Gower and Sam Temple genuinely impressed.
Later that day, alongside his peers, he delivered a heartfelt speech that moved the room to tears. It was a moment that perfectly captured the Snow Camp mission in action.
“Deciding to pursue an apprenticeship with Snow Camp has by far been the best decision I have made in my life so far. It was a risk I was willing to take in order to pursue my passion for working with young people and snowsports combined and the rewards have been endless. From inspiring young people by delivering courses to job opportunities in the industry, to skiing around Europe and making lifelong memories with young people in the mountains for their first time.
My main takeaways from the experience are that without risk there is no reward. And also to say if you don’t put yourself out there you have less chances of being recognised. As a result of putting myself out there I have also managed to secure an opportunity with UNIQ Snowsports to support them with coaching in Norway for a whole month which is surreal to believe. But goes to show that there’s no limit to opportunities that can come if you make a presence in the right environments.” Shiloh, Snow Camp Apprentice
Stories like Shiloh’s, supported by Uniq Snowsports, perfectly illustrate why we are launching the Snow Camp Futures Programme this autumn – opening up a far greater number of career pathways and job-readiness opportunities such as Shiloh’s opportunity in Norway.
Through UNIQ Snowsports’ offer, Shiloh will be gaining:
This is what happens when the right opportunity meets the right support. And guess what? You and your companies could make this happen for more deserving young people.
UNIQ Snowsports support shows that meaningful contribution doesn’t have to be about financial support alone.
Here are a few of the ways individuals and companies can get involved:
Whatever your starting point, you can make a difference. Every hour, pound or opportunity counts.
On 27 September 2025, we’ll be joining UNIQ Snowsports at their 5th Anniversary Ball. It’s not only a chance to celebrate everything they’ve achieved so far, but to shine a light on everything that’s still to come!
With Shiloh preparing for his Norway placement and the 2026 AJ Bell 3 Valley Rally already on the calendar, this partnership shows no signs of slowing down.
It’s a shining example of what happens when shared purpose and real involvement come together, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
