Sir Steve Redgrave announced as Snow-Camp Ambassador

Following the success of the 2016 Coeur Blanc in Meribel in which Sir Steve Redgrave participated, Snow-Camp are delighted to welcome the 5 x gold medal-winning Olympian as the newest addition to the Snow-Camp Ambassador line-up!

Sir Steve joins a celebrated group of snowports personalities including BBC’s Graham Bell and Ed Leigh, Sochi 2014 Olympic Bronze Medalist Jenny Jones, International Freeskier Warren Smith, Olympic Alpine Skier Chemmy Alcott and a collective of up and coming athletes who are proud to support Snow-Camp’s work.

Sir Steve said: “Snow-Camp is a fantastic charity helping those from deprived backgrounds do something positive. People say snowsports are for the elite, and rowing has that reputation too. Snow-Camp proves this is not necessarily the case.”

Sir Steve – also President of BASI (the British Association of Snowsport Instructors) – will bring his natural passion and enthusiasm for snowsports to Snow-Camp having been a keen skier himself since his first trip at the age of 11 and advocating the positive affects that snowsports and the mountain environment can have on one’s outlook on life.

We’re so happy that you’ve become a part of the Snow-Camp family, Sir Steve, particularly during this key time: Snow-Camp has set the goal to become a national charity by 2018 as part of our 5NOW expansion campaign.
